Santo Domingo, May 25, 2022 – The Dominican Republic continues to establish itself in the aviation industry. The sample is that, Sky High Aviation Services Dominicana, SA; airline based in the Caribbean country, received the first of two Embraer-190 aircraft, consolidating its fleet, increasing the number of available seats and providing a higher level of travel experience.
This makes it the first and only E-Jet operator based in the Caribbean. So, the first Embraer-190 has arrived today at the International Airport of Las Américas, José Francisco Peña Gómez.
The good news of this airline does not stop. The second E190 will be delivered to Sky High in a period not exceeding 60 days. This was announced by Juan Chamizo Alonso, president of Sky High Aviation Services Dominicana SA
Juan Chamizo Alonso, said: “It is a great differentiator for us to be the first and only operator in the region with E-Jet capacity, and we are proud to celebrate our first 10 years of operations with this new venture. The addition of our Embraer-190, with greater capacity and the latest generation, is the next step in our development and is our new offer for our customers”, he pointed out with satisfaction.
He stressed that the incorporation of the E190 will bring a new level of comfort for passengers and open new international routes. Sky High currently operates a fleet of two 50-seater Embraer ERJ145s serving 10 destinations throughout the Caribbean. The E190s have been configured in a comfortable 97-seat dual-class (standard and business) layout and will fly to existing destinations, as well as open new routes to the United States, Central and South America.
